We're looking for a proactive Accounts Officer to join our Finance Team for 20 hours per week.

About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You'll be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, monitoring the finance inbox, preparing financial reports, and assisting with monthly compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Administration
- Monitor and manage the accounts email inbox.
- Respond to finance-related enquiries or forward them to the appropriate team member.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices and staff reimbursements in MYOB.
- Ensure all invoices have the appropriate approvals before processing.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and payment schedules.
Accounts Receivable
- Follow up outstanding debtor invoices via phone and email.
- Coordinate billing enquiries with the Administration Team.
- Process approved write-offs in accordance with organisational procedures as approved by the CEO.
Financial Processing
- Process fortnightly NDIS revenue into MYOB using Supportability data.
- Prepare supporting Excel reports for fortnightly and monthly revenue tracking.
- Assist with maintaining accurate financial records.
Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and lodge the monthly Business Activity Statement (BAS).
- Complete GST and PAYG reporting requirements.
- Process associated MYOB journals and reconciliations.
- Assist with End of Month financial reporting following the final payroll cycle.
- Support the Finance Team to meet reporting deadlines.
About You
You are someone who enjoys working with numbers, values accuracy, and can confidently manage competing priorities.
You'll also have
- Previous experience in an Accounts, Bookkeeper or Finance Administration role.
- Experience using MYOB (essential).
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable
- Experience within the NDIS, health or community services sector.
- Understanding of BAS preparation and financial reporting processes.
- Certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping or Finance.
