Your recent company An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-established organisation operating within the construction sector.

This is a standalone AP role requiring someone who can hit the ground running, manage a high-volume workload and work independently within a busy finance team. The assignment is expected to run for approximately 6-7 weeks, including handover periods before and after leave cover.

Your new role

- End-to-end accounts payable processing in a high-volume environment
- Managing the AP inbox and responding to supplier queries
- Liaising with site administrators and operational teams across multiple locations
- Following up with managers for invoice approvals and resolving discrepancies
- Statement reconciliations and general AP administration
- Ensuring a seamless handover before and after the leave coverage period

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in a standalone or high-volume Accounts Payable position
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills




- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- The ability to prioritise workloads and work autonomously
- Strong systems experience, with exposure to CHEOPS is highly regarded
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or similar will also be considered
