Allergen Bureau

Melbourne

Activations Specialist | 12-Month Contract | Part Time | Flexible Hybrid/Remote

Turn strategy into action - help drive better food allergen management across Australia's food industry.

The Allergen Bureau is the leading industry body for food allergen management. We work collaboratively with food manufacturers, retailers, food service organisations, regulators, healthcare professionals and consumers to promote best-practice allergen management and support safer food for people living with food allergy. We develop industry-leading guidance, resources and programs — including the internationally recognised VITAL® Program - and play a key role in supporting industry capability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the food supply chain.

The Allergen

Bureau is a not-for-profit organisation.

About the role

As Activations Specialist, you'll coordinate the delivery, activation and promotion of our key programs, projects and strategic initiatives. Working closely with the Allergen Bureau Manager, Communications & Marketing Manager, technical experts, consultants and stakeholders, you'll support program delivery, member engagement, events, communications and campaigns — helping initiatives land, gain traction and get adopted across industry.

This role gives our technical experts and management dedicated coordination and activation support, freeing them up to focus on strategic leadership and stakeholder relationships. Because activation depends on projects staying on track, you'll be well placed to spot early where delays might significantly impact plans and flag this before it becomes a problem.

What you'll do

· Coordinate implementation of strategic programs and initiatives

· Support working groups to develop and maintain project plans, timelines and milestones

· Monitor progress, risks, dependencies and deliverables

· Plan and coordinate launches, campaigns and engagement activities

· Build and maintain positive relationships with members and stakeholders

· Support marketing and communications plans, digital campaigns, social media, website and email marketing

· Coordinate webinars, workshops, conferences and member events

· Track engagement metrics, campaign performance and program outcomes, and contribute to management reporting

About you

You're highly organised, proactive, and enjoy turning strategy into action. You're adaptable, self-motivated, bring a can-do attitude, and are comfortable working confidently as part of a remote team. You've coordinated projects, campaigns, events or stakeholder engagement initiatives, and you're used to juggling multiple priorities and stakeholder groups.

What you'll bring

· Experience in program coordination, project management, stakeholder engagement, communications, marketing or a related field

· Strong organisational and project management skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience coordinating campaigns, events or engagement activities

· Strong stakeholder relationship management skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities, with high attention to detail and follow-through

· Confidence using leading social media platforms and current trends to support campaign activation

Desirable

· Experience in the food industry, food safety, quality, regulatory, nutrition, health or science sectors

· Experience within an industry association, membership organisation or not-for-profit

· Experience with CRM, digital marketing or member engagement platforms

· A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of people with food allergy

What's on offer

· 12-month contract, part time

· Flexible hybrid or fully remote working arrangement

· Meaningful work supporting food allergy safety across Australia

· A collaborative, mission-driven team
