An opportunity has arisen for an experienced projects lawyer to join a large Australian infrastructure organisation on a 6-month contract. Reporting to the General Counsel and joining an established legal team, you will provide legal support across a portfolio of complex capital works projects and strategic commercial initiatives.
This role offers exposure to high-value procurement, construction and service arrangements, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business. Key Responsibilities
Advising on the structuring, negotiation and administration of major project and construction contracts, including EPC and design-build arrangements.
Supporting strategic commercial transactions, partnerships and key business initiatives.
Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements with contractors, suppliers and service providers.
Advising on legal, commercial and contractual risk across major project delivery activities.
Supporting governance, regulatory and stakeholder-management matters.
Working closely with procurement, commercial, project delivery and operational teams.
About
You
12+ years' PQE gained in projects, construction, infrastructure, energy or related sectors.
Strong experience advising on major infrastructure or capital projects.
Proven ability to manage complex contractual arrangements and stakeholder relationships.
Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced workplace with multiple concurrent matters.
