St Francis de Sales Regional College in Leeton are seeking a Full-Time Temporary Relief Teacher to commence as soon as possible.

St Francis de Sales Regional College is a Catholic Co-educational Day and Weekly Boarding School providing a comprehensive education across Years 7-12, for students from Leeton, Narrandera and surrounding rural areas in the Riverina.

Your New Role

Temporary Relief Teacher,



to replace absent teachers. Their primary responsibilities are to deliver the curriculum material provided by the absent teacher and to provide a duty of care to the students in the absence of the regular teacher.

Selection Criteria

- At least 5 years classroom teaching experience
- A university degree in the relevant faculty discipline or equivalent with associated qualifications in Education
- Current First Aid
- NESA Teacher Registration
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education
- Demonstrated expertise as a classroom practitioner
- A demonstrated capacity to align practice with a whole-school pastoral care model of student support
- An appropriate mix of pedagogical, content and technological knowledge
- An informed understanding of inclusive, learner-centred pedagogy




- An ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture
- Appropriate qualifications and experience in the position advertised
- An appropriate mix of pedagogical, content and technological knowledge
- An informed understanding of the impact of teaching strategies on student learning
- An informed understanding of inclusive, learner centred pedagogy
- An informed understanding of the role of formative and summative assessment in providing feedback that advances student learning
- An ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture
- Knowledge of relevant NESA curriculum documentation, practices and procedures
