Allied Health Assistant position at NeuroRehab

We're looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our Hobart team. In this role, you will work with a team of experienced allied health professionals to provide individualised support to clients both within the clinic and the community within Albury and the surrounding area.

As the position often requires independent work in clients’ homes, we seek people with experience assisting and who enjoy working with a wide range of people. Our caseload consists of acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke,



MS and cerebral palsy/intellectual disability. We do our best to minimise travel distances and schedule clients in your residential area. We are a Child Protected organisation and adhere to Victorian Child Safe regulations.

The pay rate for the role is based on the Support Services level 6 award 2020 of $30.64/hr (+25% casual loading $38.30/hr).

Working days and hours are quite consistent every week due to the requirements of our clients.

Availability - Monday and Wednesday (12 hours per week).

Key role responsibilities:

- Assisting clients with exercise programs i.e. hydrotherapy programs and community access visits designed by the treating clinician
- Work with highly experienced clinicians (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Exercise Physiology)
- General admin duties

Requirements

- Minimum educational level – Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (higher qualifications and international degrees happily accepted)
- Drivers' licence and own roadworthy vehicle – applicants should have confident driving skills, as the position involves travelling to clients residence.
- Mobile telephone.
- Internet access.
- Flu vaccination - as per ATAGI recommendation for the Healthcare industry
- Covid-19 vaccinations - as per ATAGI recommendation for the Healthcare industry

The successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
