Asset Support Engineer (After Hours)

Remote (Australia-wide) | 6 Month Contract | Part-Time Hours An exciting prospect is available with a leading organisation in the renewable energy sector for an Asset Support Engineer to provide after-hours operational support across a portfolio of hybrid energy assets.

This role is ideally suited to an engineer or technical professional seeking flexible hours while remaining engaged in the renewable energy industry. Working remotely, you will monitor critical energy infrastructure, conduct initial fault triage, coordinate responses to incidents, and support operational continuity across a fleet of assets operating 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor hybrid energy assets including Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and HV distribution assets
- Review alarms, notifications and operational events through SCADA and monitoring platforms
- Perform initial fault assessment, classification and prioritisation
- Escalate critical issues to senior engineering stakeholders
- Coordinate site attendance and maintenance responses with technicians and service providers




- Communicate operational impacts and system performance issues to stakeholders
- Create and manage work orders through maintenance management systems
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities

About You

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Experience monitoring operational assets or infrastructure remotely
- Ability to interpret alarms, trends and operational data

Highly Regarded

- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or similar
- Experience with utility-scale Solar PV, BESS or renewable energy assets
- Experience using SCADA monitoring systems
- Experience with Procore and/or NetSuite
- Exposure to asset operations, maintenance coordination or energy infrastructure

Working Hours

- Approx. 4:00pm to 8:00pm AEST
- Monday to Friday
- Fully remote position
