At Lives Lived Well, we help people live their lives well. Across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, we support people facing challenges with alcohol and other drugs (AOD), mental health, harm minimisation, veterans' wellbeing and gambling.
We're looking for an accomplished and values-driven leader to join our Clinical Directorate as Assistant Clinical Director (Service Delivery). This is an exciting opportunity to lead service excellence across a diverse portfolio while shaping the future of clinical service delivery within one of Australia's leading community-based health and wellbeing organisations.
Your opportunity
Reporting to the Clinical Director and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you'll lead the strategic, operational and clinical performance of services across a designated portfolio.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring our services are safe, effective, culturally responsive and aligned with best-practice models of care. Leading through others, you'll support clinical leaders to deliver outstanding outcomes while driving service improvement, clinical governance and workforce capability across multiple locations.
This role is as much about people as it is performance. You'll champion a culture of accountability, learning and innovation while coaching leaders to navigate complexity, embrace change and deliver high-quality services that make a genuine difference.
You'll also work closely with funders, health networks, community partners and regulatory bodies,
representing Lives Lived Well as a respected sector leader and advocate.
What you'll be doing In this role you'll:
- Lead and support clinical operations across a diverse service portfolio
- Ensure high-quality, culturally safe and evidence-based service delivery
- Drive operational performance, service outcomes and accountability across teams
- Monitor service quality, risk, compliance, incident trends and performance indicators
- Strengthen clinical governance systems and program integrity
- Lead continuous improvement, accreditation and quality assurance initiatives
- Support workforce planning, leadership development and succession planning
- Coach and mentor clinical leaders to build capability, resilience and adaptive leadership
- Lead implementation of current programs, clinical initiatives and service growth opportunities
- Build strong partnerships with funders, health networks and community stakeholders
- Contribute to strategic planning, business development and organisational priorities
- Promote lived experience leadership, cultural safety and trauma-informed practice
What we're looking for: You'll be an experienced senior leader with a strong track record of leading service delivery within complex clinical, health or community service environments.
You'll also have
- Demonstrated leadership experience within AOD, mental health, community services or related sectors, ideally across multiple sites or service streams
- Experience implementing governance frameworks,
managing risk and driving service improvement
- Proven capability leading large-scale change and transformation initiatives
- A deep understanding of evidence-based practice, trauma-informed care and lived experience principles
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience influencing and supporting Executive and Board-level stakeholders
- Strong operational, strategic and people leadership capability
- The ability to analyse complex issues, make sound decisions and navigate competing priorities
- A collaborative leadership style that builds trust, accountability and high performance
- Tertiary qualifications in health, allied health, business or a related discipline
- A current Queensland Driver Licence
- A current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
This role requires regular travel across Lives Lived Well locations and participation in leadership activities outside standard business hours, including on-call leadership rosters. Why work for us?
