About the role Join the Central Nursing Office at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane as a Casual

Assistant in Nursing (AIN) and play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, compassionate patient care across a variety of clinical areas. This is a great opportunity for experienced AINs looking for adaptable casual work, with a high volume of available shifts, you will work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, and help deliver exceptional care while enjoying the flexibility to choose shifts that suit your lifestyle. The role supports Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses in providing safe, high-quality patient care across the hospital.

Salary range: $33.05 - $38.38 per hour plus casual loading, plus superannuation

[https://www.mater.org.au/group/careers/working-with-mater] What you’ll be doing Working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses, you'll provide valuable support that enhances patient care and the smooth operation of the clinical environment.

You will

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including showering, mobility and meals Provide one-to-one patient supervision, particularly for patients requiring safety observation Offer companionship, reassurance and emotional support to patients Support patient comfort through diversion and engagement activities where appropriate Assist with stock rotation, restocking and maintaining clinical supplies Clean and maintain clinical equipment and patient care areas Transport specimens, medical records and other clinical items as required Contribute to maintaining a clean,



safe and infection-controlled environment Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care About you You are a compassionate, reliable and proactive Assistant in Nursing who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.

You're comfortable working night shifts and are looking for regular casual opportunities within a leading healthcare organisation.

You will bring

Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assistant in Nursing) or currently working towards this qualification Previous experience working as an Assistant in Nursing within an acute healthcare setting Ability to provide safe, patient-centred care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, professional approach Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team Reliable and flexible, with availability to work a range of shifts, particularly overnight shifts Commitment to maintaining patient safety, dignity and high standards of infection prevention and care Why join us?
