Centre Manager – Outside School Hours Care (OOSH)

BB Recruitment & Consulting is seeking an experienced and motivated Outside School Hours Care (OOSH) Centre Manager on behalf of a well-established, family-owned OUTSIDE SCHOOL HOURS CARE provider with a solid reputation for delivering high-quality care and engaging programs across Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a thriving OOSH service in Speers Point, NSW, within an organisation that values its people, supports professional growth, and is committed to creating safe, inclusive and enriching environments where children can thrive outside of school hours.
About the Role
As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operation of the OOSH service. You'll lead a dedicated team of Educators, create engaging programs for children, foster strong relationships with families and the school community, and ensure the service consistently delivers high-quality care while meeting all regulatory requirements.
You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:
Before School Care: 6:30am – 8:50am
After School Care: 3:00pm – 6:30pm
Total hours per week: 38 (including administration time).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the OOSH service.
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place framework.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff and the wider community.
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law and Regulations, and organisational policies.
- Manage enrolments, staffing rosters, budgets and service administration.
- Mentor,
support and develop a team of Educators to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.
About You
You are a confident and capable leader who is passionate about supporting children, families and educators. You bring strong organisational skills, a collaborative leadership style and a commitment to delivering high-quality education and care.
To be successful, you will have:
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check (Employee).
- A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or another ACECQA-approved Diploma qualification suitable for OOSH service management.
- Current Child Protection training in accordance with NSW requirements.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates.
- Food Safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Full Australian working rights.
- Leadership experience within an OOSH or Early Childhood Education and Care setting.
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time, Our Place.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Previous experience as an OOSH Centre Manager is highly regarded but not essential.
