Based at Tongala and reporting to the Production Coordinator, the Assistant Miller plays a key role in keeping production running smoothly. You’ll support milling, production, and distribution operations, helping ensure we deliver top‑quality feed every day.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys a challenge, thrives in a manufacturing environment, and is keen to grow their career in operations.

What you’ll be doing

- Following safe work practices and good manufacturing principles to keep production on track
- Spotting opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and performance
- Coaching and supporting colleagues to build capability across the team
- Working with the reliability team on root cause analysis and process improvements
- Managing safety, quality, and production tasks through our digital systems
- Contributing to Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of safety and quality standards
- Good computer literacy




- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Solid communication and maths skills
- Strong problem‑solving ability
- A proactive, reliable, safety‑focused mindset
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and support different areas of the site

A forklift licence is highly desirable, but not essential—we’ll provide training and full site induction.

Experience in milling and/or manufacturing, plus familiarity with SAP, will be highly regarded.

Shift work and occasional overtime may be required to meet production and seasonal demands.
