Assistant Superintendent (5/7D) – Parklea Correctional Centre (Talent Pool)

- Employment type: Future ongoing and temporary opportunities may be filled via Talent Pool creation
- Salary: $145,808 pa plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
- Location: Parklea Correctional Centre - 66 Sentry Drive, Parklea NSW 2768

About us

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.

Your role

As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating the management, security and safety, supervision of inmates / offenders and staff administration in accordance with Corrective Services NSW policies and procedures.

What you’ll do

You will be maintaining centre security, managing staff, controlling the structured day routine for offenders and the conduct of daily accountable activities. The successful candidate will be able to identify and manage risk, exercise sound judgement and maintain professionalism in a high-pressure environment. In this role you will utilise your proven leadership experience and knowledge to meet the demands of this role efficiently and effectively.

Essential requirements

- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or appropriate and relevant custodial experience at a senior level
- Current NSW driver’s Licence with ability and willingness to drive throughout NSW.
