As Financial Crime & Fraud continues to evolve, we're looking for an experienced Associate Director, Financial Crime Governance (Operations) to strengthen governance, reporting, and operational oversight across our Financial Crime Operations (FCO) function.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape how Financial Crime Operations is managed, creating greater transparency, stronger accountability, and improved decision-making across a critical area of the bank.

You'll play a key role in ensuring operational performance, risk, obligations, and priorities are visible, understood, and effectively governed, while helping bridge the gap between operational execution and Line 1 Financial Crime & Fraud (FC&F;) Risk expectations.

About The Role As the Associate Director, Financial Crime Governance (Operations) , you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining the governance framework that supports Financial Crime Operations.

Working closely with FCO leaders, FC&F; Risk, Business Units, and change stakeholders, you'll ensure governance forums are effective, reporting is meaningful, actions are tracked through to completion, and operational risks and priorities are appropriately escalated and managed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, improving management disciplines, and turning insights into action.

What You'll Be Doing Key Responsibilities Include

- Designing and managing the governance framework for Financial Crime Operations, including forums, reporting packs, decision logs, and action tracking.
- Maintaining oversight of operational performance indicators, service outcomes, quality measures, and operational risk themes.
- Coordinating governance and performance reporting across FCO leadership and FC&F; governance forums.
- Supporting oversight and tracking of SMAP and other accountability obligations where applicable.
- Identifying governance gaps, reporting weaknesses, and opportunities to improve management information.




- Enhancing the quality of governance materials to support informed decision-making and executive oversight.
- Partnering with FCO leaders to maintain visibility of priorities, dependencies, risks, and emerging issues.
- Supporting stronger alignment between operational delivery and FC&F; Line 1 Risk expectations.
- Driving governance discipline and ensuring actions, commitments, and decisions are effectively followed through.

What you'll bring We're looking for a governance professional who combines robust organisational capability with the ability to influence stakeholders and improve operational disciplines.

You'll Likely Have

- Experience in governance, operational risk, business management, financial crime operations, compliance, or a related function within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, performance reporting, accountability management, and operational oversight.
- Experience preparing executive reporting, committee papers, dashboards, and management information.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to translate operational data into meaningful insights and actions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for creating effective governance practices.
- Experience within Financial Crime, Fraud, Risk, Operations, or regulated environments will be highly regarded.
