About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director – Structural to provide technical leadership and drive the continued growth of the Structural Engineering business in Melbourne. This senior leadership role combines technical excellence, business development, client relationship management, project delivery, and people leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing client relationships, leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the successful delivery of structural engineering projects, and contributing to the strategic growth and commercial success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Structural Engineering team, providing technical and strategic direction.
- Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Oversee the successful delivery of structural engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare proposals, tenders, and fee submissions.
- Manage project budgets, profitability, and commercial performance.
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical staff.
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Represent the business at client meetings,



networking events, and industry forums.

Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in Structural Engineering consulting.
- Proven leadership and people management experience.
- Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and project management capability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering complex structural engineering projects.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor engineering professionals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Chartered Engineer status or eligibility to obtain professional registration is highly regarded.
- Current driver's licence preferred.
