Associate Director – Transaction Banking

This opportunity sits within a leading global banking platform with a well-established corporate banking franchise across Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Due to continued growth within the transaction banking business, the team is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead transaction banking sales initiatives across the corporate portfolio while driving current deposit and cash management growth across both Japanese and non-Japanese client segments.

The role offers broad exposure across transaction banking products including trade finance, cash management, liquidity solutions, deposits and FX cross-sell opportunities. You will be responsible for identifying, originating, structuring and executing transaction banking solutions for corporate clients, working closely with relationship managers, regional product teams and key internal stakeholders. The position will involve end-to-end deal execution, management of client pitches and RFP processes, credit and approval workflows, transaction documentation and ongoing portfolio development.

In addition, the successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing local cash management capabilities, including escrow solutions, project finance account bank mandates,



waterfall account structures and liquidity solutions for non-bank financial institutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- 8+ years’ experience within transaction banking, cash management, trade finance or corporate banking.
- Demonstrated track record in transaction banking sales, business development and revenue generation within a corporate banking environment.
- Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity products, current account deposits and trade finance solutions.
- Experience managing end-to-end transaction execution, including credit processes, approvals and internal stakeholder coordination.
- Proven ability to originate, structure and execute complex client solutions across large corporate clients.
- Experience working with Japanese corporates and broader multinational corporate clients will be highly regarded.
- Solid commercial judgement and the ability to drive product strategy and execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Technically strong with excellent client-facing and transaction execution capabilities.
