The Work and Study Specialist supports consumers within the Mental Health portfolio to explore work and study options. The Work and Study Specialist will work with people who experience barriers to employment and/or education to support them to achieve their vocation and/or education goals.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position based in Campbelltown until 30 June 2028, with the possibility of extension.

Duties
- Support consumers to achieve work and study goals through personalised vocational guidance and advocacy.
- Build partnerships with employers, education providers and community services to expand opportunities for consumers.
- Provide vocational leadership to staff and promote best-practice employment and education support.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications including relevant professional registration as required and/or experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation,
career development or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of issues that impact consumers when accessing employment and/or educational opportunities
- Demonstrated understanding of issues affecting the health and wellbeing needs of people with mental health and/or substance use problems
- Experience developing good business relationships
- Knowledge of the employment services sector, Centrelink and other state and federal employment initiatives that impact young people
