Argyle House Camden

Camden Council

At Argyle House, we are an expanding premium hospitality brand, with exciting growth plans and new venues joining our portfolio. Our bar is more than a place to serve drinks—it is a central part of the guest experience. It is about creating memorable moments, bringing energy to the venue, and delivering cocktails and beverages with the quality, personality, and consistency that our guests remember.

We are looking for an experienced Bar & Cocktail Manager to lead and elevate the Argyle House Camden bar offering. This is more than a venue-based management role; it is an opportunity to grow with our business. As we continue to expand the Argyle House brand, the successful candidate will have the prospect to oversee and mentor bar teams across multiple venues, helping to develop our cocktail programs, service standards, staff training, and beverage innovation throughout the group.

If you are a passionate hospitality leader who thrives on creating exceptional guest experiences, building high-performing teams, and wants to play a key role in the growth of a premium Australian hospitality brand, we'd love to hear from you.

Our ideal candidate is confident, creative, professional, and calm under pressure. They understand that a great cocktail is about more than flavour - it must also balance presentation, consistency, cost, speed of production, and suitability for a busy service environment.

This role requires someone who can take ownership of the bar, create original cocktails, lead and develop bartenders, maintain solid service standards, manage preparation and stock, and keep the operation running efficiently during high-pressure nights and weekends.

The role will be offered with competitive pay based on experience, ability, leadership, and performance. For the right candidate, there is genuine opportunity to shape the Argyle House cocktail offering and make a lasting impact on the guest experience.

Please note,

this role is for experienced candidates only.

To be considered, you must have:

Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Cocktail Bar Manager, Senior Bartender, Mixologist, or similar role in a busy hospitality environment

Demonstrated experience creating original cocktails and contributing to cocktail menus

Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, liqueurs, wine, beer, and beverage recommendations

Experience leading, supervising, or training bartenders and maintaining consistent service standards

A current RSA or Licensee

Full-time availability, including nights and weekends

The ability to organise bar preparation, garnishes, juices, syrups, and stock levels before and during service

Experience with stocktake, ordering, wastage control, and beverage cost awareness

Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead calmly in a fast-paced environment

A genuine passion for guest experience, hospitality, and creating memorable drinks

What we are looking for:

We are searching for someone who takes genuine ownership of the bar and understands the importance of representing the Argyle House name. The right person will be able to combine creativity with commercial awareness, strong leadership, and the discipline required to deliver consistent drinks during busy service.

You should be able to create cocktails from scratch, explain the thinking behind flavour balance and presentation, and make practical decisions about whether a drink can be produced efficiently and consistently in a high-volume venue.

You will also be expected to lead from the front - supporting the team when service becomes busy, training less experienced bartenders, maintaining strong RSA standards, controlling preparation and wastage, and keeping ticket times under control without sacrificing quality.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the bar during service and maintain a high standard of speed, consistency, presentation, and guest service

Create, test, and refine original cocktails for the Argyle House drinks offering

Ensure cocktails can be produced efficiently and consistently during peak service

Train and develop bartenders in recipes, technique, product knowledge, service standards, and responsible service of alcohol

Organise daily bar preparation, including garnishes, juices, syrups, batching, and par levels

Manage stock levels, ordering, stocktake, wastage, and beverage cost awareness

Support guests with confident, thoughtful recommendations based on their preferences

Maintain a clean, organised, and professional bar environment

Handle difficult service situations calmly, including guest complaints and refusal of alcohol service where required

Work closely with floor and management teams to deliver a smooth and memorable Argyle House experience

We offer:

Competitive pay based on experience, ability, leadership, and performance

Consistent full-time hours

The opportunity to influence and develop the Argyle House cocktail offering

A professional, energetic, and supportive team environment

The opportunity to lead, train, and develop a bar team

The opportunity to be part of the Argyle House experience in Camden, NSW

If you are an experienced bar professional with strong cocktail knowledge, proven leadership ability, and a natural flair for creating memorable guest experiences, we would love to hear from you.

Only experienced candidates should apply.
