APG Workforce are partnering with an established electrical contractor delivering major NSW projects, seeking an experienced HSE/Safety Advisor with an Electrical background.
The Role:
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll take the lead in shaping a strong safety culture across projects, working closely with site teams to drive compliance, lift standards, and keep everyone protected!

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies and client requirements
- Review, update and continuously improve safety systems, procedures and documentation
- Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations across active projects
- Lead incident investigations, including injuries, near misses and equipment damage
- Support return-to-work and injury management processes
- Maintain and review SWMS, risk assessments and safety documentation
- Oversee safety systems including pre-starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting platforms
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety training
- Mentor supervisors and site teams to strengthen safe work practices
- Prepare safety reports, statistics and compliance data
- Liaise with clients, contractors, regulators and workforce representatives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HSE performance

About You:
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher)
- Current White Card and Driver’s Licence
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar safety role within electrical or construction environments
- Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation
- Proven experience in audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with safety systems such as MYOSH (highly regarded)
- Electrical trade qualification (advantage but not essential)
