About the role

Gardenvale Post Office is looking for a Australia Post Customer Service representative to join our team in Gardenvale, VIC. This is a part-time position or fulltime position offering flexible schedule to suit your lifestyle. In this role, you will be the face of our Australia Post services, providing exceptional customer support and handling a variety of postal and courier services.

You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, combining customer service excellence with operational efficiency to ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

Key responsibilities

- Processing Australia Post services including mail, parcels, and courier shipments with accuracy and efficiency
- Assisting customers with enquiries regarding postage rates, delivery timeframes, and service options
- Weighing packages, calculating postage costs, and processing payments using point-of-sale systems
- Managing customer interactions with professionalism and courtesy, resolving issues and complaints where applicable
- Maintaining accurate records of transactions and ensuring compliance with Australia Post procedures and policies
- Stocking shelves and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
- Collaborating with team members to provide seamless service during busy periods
- Following health, safety, and security protocols to protect customer information and assets

What we're looking for

- Proven customer service experience in a retail or similar environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions and handling customer data




- Basic mathematical skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems and computer systems
- Reliability and punctuality with the flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential weekend shifts
- A friendly, professional demeanour and genuine desire to help customers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with Australia Post services is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
