Role Description This is a full-time, in office Barista role based at Cafe Des Arts in Perth, WA. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages to consistent quality standards. Daily tasks include taking customer orders, operating coffee equipment, handling food preparation for light snacks and pastries, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.

The role involves providing friendly customer service, answering questions about menu items, processing payments accurately, and following hygiene and safety procedures.



The Barista will work as part of a team to support smooth café operations, including restocking supplies and assisting with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications

Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills.

Barista skills, with experience in coffee preparation, espresso-based drinks, and basic Food Preparation.

Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers and collaborating with team members.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and strong time management.

Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards; relevant certifications are an advantage.

Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment preferred but not mandatory.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
