Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Depot Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation in Townsville. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to oversee depot operations, manage a small team, and ensure a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment. - Lead, mentor and motivate a small team to achieve operational and customer service objectives.
- Oversee the daily running of the depot, including staff rostering, administration, cash handling and record keeping.
- Ensure smooth and productive depot operations while maintaining high service standards.
- Support customers and provide a positive, welcoming experience.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of team members as required.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all workplace policies and procedures.
- Identify, report and address safety risks, hazards and operational concerns promptly.

About the Candidate

- Previous experience managing or supervising a small to medium-sized team.
- A background in operations, warehousing, logistics, retail, hospitality or customer service environments.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on customer service.
- The ability to work in a physically active environment when required.
- A commitment to workplace health, safety and compliance.
