Latrobe Valley Enterprises (LVE) is a Gippsland-based social enterprise creating meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities for people living with disability. While there are other community organisations that support people to participate in meaningful employment, LVE is distinctive in both helping people secure work with external employers and directly employing people through its own commercial business units. In doing so, LVE delivers quality products and services while creating opportunities for people to build skills, confidence, independence and connection through work.

For more than 50 years, LVE has combined commercial success with social impact. Now, as the organisation enters an exciting new phase of growth and evolution, LVE is seeking passionate and skilled Non-Executive Directors to help shape its future.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join the Board at a pivotal time, contributing to the strategic direction of an organisation with a proud history, strong foundations and significant opportunities ahead.

With opportunities to strengthen existing business units, support innovation and service development, and drive long-term sustainable growth, Directors will play an significant role in shaping LVE's future direction and impact.

Working alongside fellow Directors and the Chief Executive Officer, you will contribute to the governance, sustainability and strategic direction of LVE, helping ensure the organisation remains commercially strong, purpose-led and well positioned for the future.





You will help ensure LVE continues to create meaningful employment outcomes for people living with disability while maintaining strong governance, financial sustainability and community trust.

LVE is seeking passionate and committed individuals who can contribute their expertise, insight and lived experience to help guide the organisation’s future direction and impact.

As part of ongoing Board renewal, LVE is looking to strengthen the Board’s skills, experience and diversity of perspectives, while ensuring it reflects the communities it serves. The Board is seeking individuals who bring governance capability, strategic thinking, a commitment to social impact, and alignment with LVE’s purpose and values.

LVE recognises the important contribution that lived experience brings to Board discussions, decision-making and strategic direction. The organisation is committed to ensuring diverse perspectives are represented around the Board table and encourages applications from people living with disability, and from parents, carers and family members of people living with disability, whose perspectives can help inform the organisation's next chapter.

To strengthen the Board’s collective capability, LVE is particularly seeking candidates with legal and regulatory expertise, especially in governance, compliance, risk management and regulated sectors.



Applications are also welcomed from individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

- Finance, accounting or audit
- Occupational health and safety governance
- Commercial leadership and strategy
- Disability services, NDIS, social enterprise or stakeholder engagement

As LVE embarks on its next chapter, Directors will help guide strategy, support innovation across its business units and ensure the organisation continues to deliver lasting impact for individuals, families and communities across Gippsland.

Location: Morwell, Gippsland (hybrid participation available)

Term: Three-year appointment, renewable to a maximum of nine years

Commitment: Approximately 4-6 hours per month, including Board and committee meetings

Remuneration: Voluntary position
