Company Description Northern Rivers Autism Association (NRAA) is a Registered Australian Health Promotional Charity regulated by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). The organisation is dedicated to supporting autistic individuals, their families, and the broader community through advocacy, education, and services. NRAA works collaboratively with local partners to improve access to resources and promote inclusion.

Role Description: The Board Treasurer is a full time, on-site role based in Lismore, NSW. This position is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s financial health, including managing budgets, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to the board. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial statements, working with accounting staff or external accountants, preparing financial forecasts, and supporting compliance with relevant regulations and charity reporting requirements.

The Board

Treasurer collaborates closely with other board members to inform strategic decisions,



maintain transparent financial practices, and support long-term sustainability. The role also involves participation in board meetings, contribution to policy development, and clear communication of financial information to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Financial Planning, with experience in supporting strategic decision-making.

Candidates should possess skills in Budgeting and Accounting, including managing organisational budgets and maintaining accurate financial records.

Candidates should possess skills in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements, including reporting to boards and regulatory bodies.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business, or a related field are highly beneficial.

Experience in governance, not-for-profit or charity finance, and familiarity with Australian regulatory requirements is an advantage.

Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, integrity, and the capacity to communicate financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
