Business
Analyst (Melbourne or Hobart) We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a newly established domain delivery squad, playing a key role in delivering business and technology initiatives that support strategic objectives across the organisation. Working within a collaborative Agile environment, you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to analyse problems, define requirements, improve processes and help deliver solutions that create measurable business value. About the role
Elicit, analyse and document business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders to understand business needs and define target state outcomes.
Conduct current and future state process mapping, gap analysis and problem-solving activities.
Develop high-quality business analysis artefacts including business requirements documentation, process flows and traceability documentation.
Support Agile delivery practices including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and prioritisation activities.
Perform data analysis, identify insights and support data migration, mapping and validation activities where required.
Work closely with architects, developers, testers, delivery leads and vendors to ensure requirements are understood and successfully delivered.
Support testing activities across the delivery lifecycle, including functional testing and UAT.
Contribute to risk management, change management and benefits realisation activities to support successful project outcomes. What we are looking for
Extensive experience working as a Business Analyst delivering business and technology change initiatives.
Strong Agile delivery experience working within cross-functional squads, with expertise in backlog refinement, story decomposition and iterative delivery approaches.
Proven capability in requirements elicitation, business process analysis, gap analysis and problem definition.
Experience producing high-quality business analysis artefacts, including business requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps.
Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end solution delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess options, identify risks and make practical recommendations.
Experience performing structured data analysis and translating findings into business insights.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build consensus across business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements for technical audiences and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly organised, adaptable and self-sufficient, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a agile environment.
Experience within financial services, ideally superannuation, and an understanding of regulated environments will be highly regarded.
Experience working with third-party vendors, implementation partners and external service providers is desirable. Highly regarded:
Familiarity with the finance sector, ideally in the superannuation industry with an understanding of the regulatory environment and operational needs
