Pay Rate: Up to $51.52/hour + overtime

What does a Water Operator do? Think of a plumber fixing a burst pipe in a home. Now imagine fixing a burst water main in the street - the principle is the same, but you're helping keep your community's water supply running.

As a Water Operator, you'll work outdoors maintaining and repairing the water supply network. Your day-to-day duties will include digging trenches, inspecting pipelines, locating faults, and repairing water services. You'll also develop a broad range of technical skills that can lead to future opportunities in technical, supervisory, management, or leadership roles.

Your primary focus will be to:

- Find and repair faults in water mains, pipes, and fittings.
- Maintain and upgrade the water supply network.




- Understand the end-to-end water cycle and how essential water services support the local community.
- Help ensure a safe and reliable water supply for customers.

What else will the role involve?

- Participate in safe work planning, team meetings, and workplace inspections.
- Carry out all work with safety as the highest priority, ensuring health and safety requirements are always met.
- Operate, maintain, monitor, and repair water and wastewater assets, operational sites, and public facilities.
- Participate in overtime and on-call rosters as required.

Key Skills & Experience

- Current Western Australian C Class Driver's Licence.
- Current HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver's Licence.
- Experience in civil construction, water supply, and/or wastewater systems.
