Utility-scale BDM | Sydney

Our client is a battery energy storage OEM with a strong utility-scale pipeline across the National Electricity Market. They're looking for a Business Development Manager to drive utility-scale BESS opportunities across NSW, based out of Sydney.

The Role

You'll own the utility-scale sales cycle across NSW, building relationships with developers, IPPs, and EPCs to convert pipeline into signed contracts. This is a commercially-driven role for someone who understands the utility-scale landscape and wants to work close to the deal, not buried behind it.

What you'll be doing

- Identifying and developing utility-scale BESS opportunities with developers, IPPs, and EPCs across NSW
- Managing the sales cycle from lead generation through to contract execution
- Building and maintaining relationships across the NSW utility-scale energy ecosystem
- Working with engineering and technical teams to scope and position solutions for client requirements
- Tracking market activity, pipeline,



and competitor movement across the region
- Representing the business at industry events and client meetings

What You'll Bring

- Proven business development or sales experience in utility-scale BESS, solar, or broader power generation
- Existing relationships within the NSW developer, IPP, or EPC community are highly valued
- Confidence managing complex, long-cycle B2B sales with technical and commercial stakeholders
- Understanding of NEM dynamics, grid connection processes, and utility-scale project timelines
- Based in Sydney or willing to relocate
