An exciting prospect exists for an experienced National Business Development Manager – Architecture & Design to join a well-established Australian organisation recognised for delivering innovative building solutions across major commercial projects. This is a hands-on national role for an energetic and commercially minded professional who enjoys being in the market, building relationships and influencing project outcomes long before they reach tender.

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for identifying major projects in their early stages, securing product specifications and developing long-term relationships with key decision-makers throughout Australia's Architecture & Design community. This role offers genuine variety, national exposure and the opportunity to lead from the front.

Approximately

- 70–80% of your time will be spent in the field meeting architects, consultants, engineers and developers.
- 20–30% of your role will involve mentoring, coaching and supporting a national Architecture & Design team.

This is a national position based on the East Coast, requiring regular interstate travel to build relationships, support projects and strengthen the company's presence across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and grow relationships with architects, designers, consultants, engineers and developers.




- Identify and influence major commercial projects from concept through to specification.
- Secure specifications before projects proceed to tender.
- Develop and execute a national Architecture & Design strategy.
- Mentor and support a high-performing national team.
- Work closely with internal Business Development, Estimating and Project teams.
- Maintain an active pipeline of major commercial opportunities.
- Represent the business professionally throughout the architectural and construction sectors.

About You

You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, opening doors and creating opportunities. You understand the specification process, know how to influence project outcomes and enjoy building long-term relationships that deliver results.

Ideally you will have

- Experience within commercial construction or the building products industry.
- Strong Business Development or Specification Sales experience.
- Established relationships within the Architecture & Design community will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Leadership capability or the desire to step into a national leadership role.
- The flexibility and enthusiasm to travel extensively throughout Australia.
