Mrs Mac’s is an iconic Australian food brand, known for producing quality savoury bakery products enjoyed across Australia, New Zealand and international markets.

Since Aus Pie Co purchased the brands in 2022, we have been focused on our customers to ensure we partner effectively and grow together. We have invested significantly in relaunching the brands, with a strong emphasis on quality and product innovation.

We are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our iconic Australian brand portfolio in NSW.

About the role

This position is based at our Sales and Marketing office in Rhodes, NSW, and reports to the National Account Manager – Major Accounts. Travel within NSW and interstate will be required.

As our Business Development Manager, you will manage the NSW and ACT territory, growing existing customer and distributor relationships while identifying and converting new business opportunities. This is a field-based role focused on delivering sustainable revenue and distribution growth.

Responsibilities include

- Identifying and securing new accounts through proactive prospecting

- Meeting monthly with distributor Direct Sales Representative (DSR) field teams

- Working closely with buying group members to convert product listings into active sales

- Managing equipment placement and marketing investment to deliver a measurable return

- Supporting and managing components of major customer and distributor accounts, at a state or national level, as delegated

- Planning and executing promotional activity across the territory





- Driving core range compliance and closing product range gaps

- Identifying tender opportunities, managing customer P&Ls;, and taking ownership of territory revenue and distribution targets

- Delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strong relationships

- Preparing accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts, and maintaining customer information in CRM and internal systems

- Providing high-quality commercial and administrative support to the Major Accounts team

- Coordinating customer queries, claims and requests in accordance with internal processes

You will work closely with Customer Service, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and the wider Sales team to deliver successful outcomes for customers and the business.

About you To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- FMCG or foodservice sales experience (essential)

- A demonstrated track record of opening new accounts, supported by measurable results

- Experience selling through distributors and influencing distributor sales teams

- Confidence in proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities

- Experience supporting or managing customer or distributor accounts

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills





- Knowledge of industry compliance, policies and procedures

- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of CRM tools

- Exceptional organisation and time management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales and commercial data
- A valid Australian Driver’s License
