About ProjectFour

ProjectFour Pty Ltd is an Employer of Record (EOR) business supplying skilled offshore professionals — including virtual assistants, administrators, accounts/bookkeeping staff, drafters, estimators and quantity surveyors — to Australian businesses across a range of industries. Staff are engaged through our Philippines entity, Project4 Service Inc., giving clients access to skilled, dedicated offshore talent without the cost, risk or complexity of employing overseas staff directly.

We are scaling our presence across South East Queensland and need a locally based Business Development Manager to build the client pipeline that drives placements.

Purpose of the Role The BDM is responsible for generating new business for ProjectFour across South East Queensland, starting with the Sunshine Coast and extending into Brisbane and surrounding regions. This is a direct, hybrid sales role: identifying businesses that need offshore support, engaging their decision-makers, and converting those conversations into signed placements of Philippines-based staff.

In this early growth phase, the initial focus will be on placing virtual assistants, administrators and accounts/bookkeeping staff — quick-to-place roles that build momentum and prove the model — before broadening into drafting, estimating and quantity surveying placements as the SEQ pipeline matures.

This is a new-business role rather than an account management one. Success is measured by new clients signed and staff placed, not simply by maintaining existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

● Pipeline generation — proactively identify and approach businesses across SEQ — with an early focus on those needing virtual assistant, administrative or accounts/bookkeeping support — that could benefit from ProjectFour's offshore staffing model, expanding into drafting, estimating and QS roles as the pipeline grows.

● Client engagement — run face-to-face and virtual meetings with owners, directors and operations managers to understand their resourcing gaps and present ProjectFour's EOR model as the solution.

● Solution design — work with candidates and internal recruitment to match the right offshore professional (virtual assistant, administrator, accounts/bookkeeping,

drafter, estimator, QS) to each client's specific need.

● Deal conversion — manage the sales process from first contact through to signed service agreement and onboarded placement, using Loxo as the CRM system of record.

● Client success handover — ensure a clean handover of new clients to the delivery/operations team post-placement, and stay engaged enough to identify expansion opportunities (repeat placements, additional roles) within existing accounts.

● Reporting — maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in Loxo, and report weekly on activity, conversion and placement metrics to the COO.

● Market feedback — feed client and market insights back into the business to refine service offering, pricing and positioning.

Key Performance Indicators

● Year 1 target — 50 placements across 15–25 active clients.

● New client meetings booked and held per week/month.

● Conversion rate from first meeting to signed client.

● Time-to-placement from signed agreement to candidate start.

● Client retention and expansion (additional roles placed into existing clients).

What Success Looks Like in the First 12 Months A BDM who has built a genuine local reputation on the Sunshine Coast and into Brisbane as the go-to person for offshore staffing support — with a healthy, self-sustaining pipeline, a track record of signed clients, and placements that are performing well enough to generate referrals and repeat business.

About You

Experience

● A demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding new business targets, not just managing existing accounts.

● Experience selling an intangible service (rather than a physical product) — comfortable articulating value, ROI and risk mitigation rather than price.

● Existing networks or credibility within the SEQ business community are highly valued but not essential — genuine sales capability matters more than a ready-made book of contacts.

Skills and Attributes

● Self-motivated and resilient, with genuine enthusiasm for proactive outreach and building current relationships from the ground up.

● Confident and credible in front of business owners and senior operations people; able to hold a consultative conversation about workforce planning and resourcing risk.

● Well organised, with strong CRM discipline (Loxo) and the ability to manage a multi-stage pipeline without things slipping through the cracks.

● Comfortable with a base-plus-incentive structure and motivated by performance-based upside.

● Based on or willing to be based on the Sunshine Coast, with a valid driver's licence and own vehicle for regional and Brisbane travel.

● Understanding of offshore staffing, EOR, or recruitment models is an advantage but can be trained — sales capability and industry credibility are the priority.

Remuneration Structure

This role offers a competitive package built around a base salary, a monthly car allowance, and a commission structure that rewards new business generation directly — including incentives for every new placement and further bonuses for placements that continue performing well over time. Full remuneration details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

Tools and Support Provided

● Loxo — CRM, pipeline tracking and candidate/client matching.

● Sparkhire — async video interviewing to speed up candidate presentation to clients.

● Full recruitment and delivery support from the Philippines-based team to source and onboard matched candidates once a client is signed.

● Marketing collateral, case studies (including independently reported Fair Work precedent supporting the compliant co-employment model) and capability statements to support client conversations.

How to Apply

Please submit a resume and a short cover note outlining your relevant business development experience and why you're interested in this role to @project4.com.au. Suitable candidates will be invited to an initial conversation with the COO, followed by a second-stage interview with the CEO.
