The Story

One third of Australians live in a rental home and one in eight own one - but the experience is often less than ideal. Renters struggle to be heard, property investors lack transparency over their valuable assets, and property managers are tied to outdated technology. At Ailo, they’re reimagining the $53B property management industry with a ground‐breaking, data‐powered platform that transforms operations and creates value for everyone.

This role runs the equivalent machinery inside our own business. Ailo operates on an established set of systems and processes spanning people, finance, compliance and the tools the team works in. We are now looking for someone dedicated to running, improving and scaling them as the business grows.

That is this role. It also brings consistency to operational work that is currently distributed across functions and run to varying standards, so that it moves to a set cadence rather than case by case. You'll report to the Head of Operations, and partner with function and team leads across the business to deliver outcomes.

What you bring

Experience running operations in a high-growth B2B business (bonus points for fintech, financial services, or real estate), a track record of driving process improvement end-to-end, problem-solving, and experience making cross-functional change stick without needing line authority to do it. Experience in project management and outcome delivery is highly advantageous.

The mindset matters as much as your experience. You're a finisher who's also a builder, someone who closes loops but also questions why the loop existed in the first place. You think in first principles rather than reaching for the nearest framework, and you take real ownership rather than waiting for consensus, knowing when to make the call and move. You treat ambiguity and the occasional fire as part of the job, not a distraction from it.
