Your new company An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly organised administration professional to join a busy Environment & Planning division. This role sits within a high-performing business support team and provides critical support across multiple departments, ensuring the effective delivery of services, projects and customer outcomes.
Your new role
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will provide senior-level administrative support across a diverse and fast-paced setting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate operational activities, maintain documentation, support governance processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include
- Providing high-level administrative support across multiple business units.
- Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, business papers and minutes.
- Preparing technical documents, tenders, correspondence and reports.
- Managing incoming correspondence and maintaining accurate records within electronic document management systems.
- Supporting system improvements and streamlining administrative processes.
- Assisting with training, mentoring and knowledge sharing across the support team.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive experience in a senior administration, executive support or business support position.
- Advanced organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience preparing reports, business papers and professional correspondence.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and efficiencies.
- Advanced proficiency across Microsoft 365 applications.
Desirable:
- Previous experience within local government.
- Exposure to electronic document management systems.
- Experience supporting planning, regulatory or technical teams.
