A higher education organisation is looking for a Business Systems Analyst on a 12 month FTCHAYS has partnered with a higher education organisation to recruit a Systems Analyst. This role is a 12-month FTC and may have the opportunity to be longer term. The company offers a flexible and supportive working environment, with career progression opportunities.

The RoleIn this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting development initiatives and leading complex analysis activities. You will contribute to the evolution of enterprise systems through agile delivery and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include

- Deliver detailed business analysis, requirements gathering and process improvement across enterprise-wide systems
- Work closely with software engineers, application administrators, and cross-functional technical teams to enhance system performance and optimise technical solutions.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and support providers to ensure timely resolution of incidents, issues, and service requests.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain system documentation,



process maps, and support materials to ensure effective knowledge transfer and ongoing system support.
- Lead testing strategies and user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality solution delivery
- Collaborate closely with development teams to support agile and hybrid delivery methodologies

Your Background To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in business and functional analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, and testing strategy development
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable outcomes and build solid stakeholder relationships
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and large-scale systems
- Experience working in complex enterprise environments (experience within higher education is advantageous)
