We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our growing team at Nordic Design Furniture in Magill, South Australia. As a full-time Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, custom-made furniture pieces that embody our brand's design philosophy.
What you'll be doing
- Interpreting design plans and drawings to produce bespoke cabinets, shelves, and other wood-based furniture items
- Operating a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools with a high level of precision and care
- Collaborating with the design team to select appropriate materials and finishes
- Ensuring all work meets strict quality standards and project timelines
- Maintaining a clean, organised and secure work environment
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in Cabinet Making or a related trade. Certificate 3 in Cabinetry and Furnishing required.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cabinet Maker, preferably in a furniture manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret design specifications
- Proficiency in using a range of woodworking power tools, hand tools, thicknesser, buzzer, rip saw, drop saw, spindles etc
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
