Job Description

AJ Aluminium Pty Ltd - Mona Vale

- Technical Drafting: Prepare accurate shop drawings, cross-sections, elevations, and interface details using CAD software.
- Compliance & Coordination: Ensure all designs comply with the NCC/BCA and relevant Australian Standards (AS 2047, AS 1288, AS 1170.2).
- Review plans, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with architects, builders, engineers, and our internal production team to resolve technical queries.
- The Basics: An Advanced Diploma or Degree in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 4–5+ years of drafting experience specifically working with commercial or residential aluminium window/door systems (e.g., AWS, Capral, Alspec).




- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

Experience with LogiKal, V6, or Revit/BIM is highly desirable.

- Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of glazing systems, thermal breaks, waterproofing, flashing details, and interpreting wind ratings.
- High attention to detail and the communication skills to talk to both high-end architects and factory floor fabricators.
