Ozcare has permanent part-time opportunities available for Care Assistants supporting our clients within the Emerald region.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most significant people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

- Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans

- Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence

- Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities

- Assisting clients with their medication requirements

- Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

How You'll Benefit

Role Requirements

- To be considered for this role, candidates must possess availability to work within Wednesday - Sunday roster (2:00pm to 6:30pm).

- In possession of a reliable roadworthy vehicle, with current registration and comprehensive insurance

- Vehicle must be safe, well-maintained, and suitably accessible to support clients with varying mobility needs to enter and exit comfortably.

- Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough).

- Current Police Screening Certificate (valid within past 3 years)

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability)

- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates

- Current Queensland driver's licence

- Good computer & mobile device skills
