Experienced Fitter/Machinist

Our client a respected and well‑established industry leader, is seeking an Experienced Fitter/Machinist to join their up-to-date workshop located in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full‑time hours with a high hourly rate and consistent work.

What's on Offer

- Monday to Friday roster
- 6:00am - 2:30pm
- $50 per hour + super + overtime
- Modern workshop with quality equipment

Key Responsibilities

- Operation of Bed Mills, Horizontal Bores, and Lathes
- Operation of Key Press, Drill Press, and Saw
- Shaft turning and precision machining
- General workshop and machine maintenance
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
- CNC experience an advantage

About You

The successful candidate will have:

- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
- On the job experience as a Fitter, Turner, or Machinist
- Full Australian working rights
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- A proactive and safety‑focused mindset with strong WHS awareness
- High levels of reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
