SAUC’D LOWNSLOW is looking for a reliable Casual Food Production and Packing Assistant to support the production of our spice blends, seasonings and salts at our Acacia Ridge facility. This is a hands-on food-manufacturing role involving ingredient preparation, blending support, packing, labelling and cleaning. It is not a hospitality or cooking position.
The role will initially be approximately two days per week, with work scheduled between Monday and Thursday. Standard working hours are 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the potential for additional days or hours as production grows. Key responsibilities include:
- Weighing and preparing ingredients accurately
- Packing and labelling finished products
- Assisting with blending and general production tasks
- Following recipes, production instructions and batch procedures
- Cleaning equipment and maintaining a clean, organised workspace
- Lifting and moving ingredient bags, cartons and finished products
- Following food-safety,
hygiene and workplace procedures
- Checking measurements, labels and product presentation for accuracy
Experience is not essential, as training will be provided to the right person. The role may suit a school leaver, someone early in their working career or a person looking for regular casual work in food production. The successful applicant will need to be reliable, comfortable with physical and repetitive work, careful with numbers and measurements, and able to follow instructions accurately.
You must also be comfortable working around spices, powders and solid aromas. Attention to detail is essential, as product consistency, accurate measurements and food safety cannot be compromised.
