About the Role Looking for a teaching opportunity where no day is quite the same? Join our Nursing program and play a key role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
This casual opportunity offers variety, flexibility, and meaningful industry engagement. You'll teach and mentor students across a range of learning environments, while maintaining strong connections with industry and supporting students during their clinical placement journey. Placement visits form an important part of the role and may occur in blocks throughout the year, requiring travel across Geelong and Werribee.

Some key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver engaging vocational education and training programs across Nursing.
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback to support success.
- Conduct clinical placement visits and build strong relationships with healthcare partners.
- Develop contemporary learning resources and assessment tools aligned with industry requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices, moderation, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain professional currency and contribute to a positive, student-minded learning environment.

About You:
You're a passionate nursing professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, engaging learners, and helping students build confidence in their future careers. You quickly build rapport, adapt your communication style to suit different learners, and thrive in environments offering variety, independence, and collaboration.
Additionally, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and a Bachelor of Nursing.
- A minimum of 5 years' broad nursing experience across areas such as acute, mental health, aged care, primary care, or wound management.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or equivalent), with Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (AQF 5) and/or Advanced Diploma qualifications highly regarded.
- Confidence conducting placement visits, with flexibility to travel across Geelong and Werribee and availability to support an evolving teaching schedule.
- Strong industry connections, additional clinical specialties, and a practical, solutions-focused mindset will be highly valued.
- The ability to assess learner needs and adapt teaching approaches to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

Salary Range:
Casual Teacher L1 | $91.42 (teaching) and $62.14 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification
Casual Teacher L2 | $95.01 (teaching) and $64.58 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification
Casual Teacher L3 | $98.77 (teaching) and $67.10 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification
