This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency. CCLHD is looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Mental Health Assertive Outreach Team (AOT) - a energetic, community-based team making a real difference in the lives of consumers with complex mental health needs.

About The Role

- We have a temporary full time role available to cover a Maternity Leave until August 2027.

As a Registered Nurse With The AOT, You'll

- provide support to individuals aged 18 and above, who have complex mental health needs and require an intensive model of support to engage with services
- provide assertive recovery focused support as an alternative to inpatient care for this population.
- offer an assertive outreach service where clients are treated in the least restrictive environment, either in the client’s home or centre based appointments as close to the client’s home as possible.

About You

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recent clinical experience in a Mental Health setting and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
- Knowledge of contemporary mental health recovery principles; and experience working within a range of mental health settings.
- You bring experience in evidence-based mental health practice.
- You’re a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong partnerships with clients, families, and service providers.
