Clinical Trial Coordinator (Registered/Enrolled Nurses)
Novatrials is a private, dedicated clinical trial centre based in Newcastle, NSW. We conduct clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas, including dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, diabetes, osteoarthritis, obesity, and infectious diseases.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking for registered and enrolled nurses interested in working in our clinical trial phase 1 unit as a full-time Clinical Trial Coordinator .
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of Phase I studies .
The Role
As a Clinical Trial (Nurse) Coordinator (CTC) , you will be responsible for the coordination and conduct of clinical trials in accordance with study protocols, ICH-GCP, Novatrials Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulatory and privacy requirements.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day delivery of trials across all phases, with a focus on Phase I clinical trials.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and coordinating participant visits
- Conducting clinical assessments in line with study protocol requirements
- Collecting, collating, and entering study data into electronic systems
- Supporting study logistics and site operations across multiple trials.
A critical component of this role is building strong relationships with study participants and maintaining effective communication with investigators, sponsors,
and the broader study team. You will bring strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills, with the ability to thrive while managing competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual with a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for improving patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be flexible and available to work day, evening, weekend and overnight shifts as required to support study and operational needs.
You are a confident communicator who can build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including study participants, investigators and sponsors. Ideally, you will have a nursing background, previous clinical research experience, and a strong understanding of working within highly regulated environments.
Highly organised and detail-oriented, you are comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. With excellent time-management skills, you can effectively balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of quality in a fast-paced workplace.

Essential Selection Criteria for the role:
- Tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN), with current AHPRA registration and demonstrated clinical experience.
- Highly developed project planning, organisation and time management skills with an ability to achieve, and/or exceed, key project milestones;
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, interacting professionally with a variety of stakeholders;
- Demonstrated ability to work competently in periods of high demand and activity
- Availability and flexibility to work day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts as required to support clinical trial activities and participant care.
- IV cannulation, venepuncture and ECG skills or willingness to learn
- Previous experience in clinical trials would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and applicable state and national laws and regulations.
