The Job:
Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Board and executive leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer will hold responsibility for the organisation’s financial strategy, governance and performance. The remit encompasses financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, statutory and management reporting, cash flow, risk, compliance and the continued development of fit for purpose systems and controls.
This is not a role confined to stewardship of the numbers. The CFO will translate financial information into clear commercial insight, test assumptions, sharpen investment decisions and help leaders understand the operational consequences of the choices before them. As a trusted adviser across the organisation, they will bring appropriate challenge, identify opportunities for improvement and build a finance function capable of supporting growth without losing rigour.

Skills Required:
- CA or CPA qualification, supported by substantial senior financial leadership experience
- A record of contributing at executive and, ideally, Board level within a complex organisation
- Strength across commercial finance, planning, reporting, governance, risk and financial control
- The ability to turn complex financial information into clear, useful advice for varied audiences
- Experience improving systems, processes and the capability of a finance function
- A pragmatic, composed leadership style combining intellectual rigour with sound interpersonal judgement
