About this Role - Civil Roads/Infrastructure Works Inspector, RPEQ'd Civil Engineer with Civil/Infrastructure Experience or Contract Administration Experience?
Experienced in Civil and Roads Construction Inspector Roles, Civil Engineer Roles (RPEQ Preferable), Civil Construction Project Managers, and Contract Administrators for DTMR Projects and/or Client-Side Contract Work?
MC10 Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking experienced roads/infrastructure inspectors, RPEQ'd Civil Engineers, Civil Construction Project Managers and Contract Administrators specifically experienced in client-side focused work or projects to register their interest in joining our team on a contract arrangement or basis. As a Contract Inspector, Civil Engineer, Civil Project Manager or Contract Administrator, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative construction solutions to our clients, across a range of localities and areas within Brisbane metro and wider Queensland.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within DTMR and/or council including being of assistance with the review of design drawings, implementation of construction processes, inspection and testing plans, pre-construction teams and delivery phase for implementation of construction projects.
- Managing the monitoring, auditing, evaluation and reporting on all critical elements of construction contracts, roadworks contracts, and maintenance delivery ensuring compliance with DTMR's policies, standards and specifications, and contract documentation.
- Working closely with client principal engineers, other Inspectors, RPEQ project managers and contract administrators on a range of contracts from minor infrastructure contracts, open tender contractors and sole invitee contractor management to potentially larger transport contracts including construct only projects.
- Oversee the execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to our client DTMR's budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Ensure written or computer typed daily diaries, with a high standard of data capture (including photos) of resources, productions, subcontractors, suppliers, plant, labour and materials for onsite contractor management and project delivery phase compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our client DTMR, its stakeholders, and associated regulatory authorities.
- Stay up to date and actively participate in civil construction functions complying with DTMR's latest standards, specifications, best practices, policies, systems, contract models in project delivery and various legislative requirements.
What we're looking for
- Roadworks civil inspectors and infrastructure project inspectors of medium to high level experience. Looking for RPEQ Civil Engineers to work in either a Site Engineering, Project Manager or Contract Administrator role.
For Inspectors:
- A minimum of 2 years' onsite experience as an inspector in the civil, roads and infrastructure industry as client-side and/or construction contracting onsite.
- A post trade qualification in a relevant area, is desirable.
- DTMR Prequalified Roads Inspector with DTMR as IR01 or IR02 (low value <$20M transport infrastructure contracts and minor infrastructure contracts to medium value <$50M).
- DTMR Prequalified Roads Inspector with DTMR as IR03 (high value >$50M transport infrastructure contracts and major projects).
- Non-DTMR prequalified Roads Inspector with IR01, IR02 or IR03 equivalent experience are also welcome to apply.
- DTMR Prequalified Structures Inspector with DTMR as IS02 or IS03 is highly desirable (non-DTMR Prequalified welcome to apply).
- Your proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects, contracts on Low value <$20M construction contracts, minor construction contracts, medium value between $20M to $50M, and/or high value or design and construct contracts >$50M.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, written communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, rapid-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively manage your duties and to negotiate on project delivery issues and solutions with other construction personnel.
- Ability to travel, have a vehicle accessible for use, where required including DIDO style arrangements, where applicable.
- Ability to travel, where required for FIFO style arrangements (contract and project dependent).
- ABN holders, or prospective ABN holders, sole traders and companies/ entities welcome.
- Proficient in the use of supervisory records keeping tool functions on the computer - programs such as word, excel and notepad is attractive.
- Preferably experienced in DTMR projects, however other government bodies of work involving similar works such as council contracts and project works experience is welcome.
For Engineers
- Preferably Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ Civil)
- Preferably experienced in DTMR projects; however, other government bodies of work involving similar works such as council contracts and project works experience is welcome.
- Ability to travel, have a vehicle accessible for use, where required, including DIDO style arrangements, where applicable.
- Ability to travel, where required for FIFO style arrangements (contract and project dependent).
- Demonstrated a minimum of three years of experience in supporting the contract administration of road infrastructure construction projects. Experience in such projects of medium value TIC-CO ($20M to $50M).
For Project Managers and Contract Administrators
- Preferably Registered Skilled Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ Civil).
- Preferably experienced in DTMR projects; however, other government bodies of work involving similar works such as council contracts and project works experience is welcome.
- Ability to travel, have a vehicle accessible for use, where required, including DIDO style arrangements, where applicable.
- Ability to travel where required for FIFO-style arrangements (contract and project-dependent).
- For Project Manager Roles, demonstrated a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the construction phase of civil road infrastructure projects.
- For Contract Administrator Roles, demonstrated a minimum of six years of experience in supporting the administration of road infrastructure contracts, or a minimum of seven years of post-graduate experience in any combination of the contract administration, construction, maintenance or design of road infrastructure projects
