The Role The Cleaning Supervisor – Southside/Central is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of cleaning operations across allocated Southside campuses.

The role ensures cleaning standards are maintained through effective leadership, workforce coordination, quality assurance, and operational support.

The Cleaning Supervisor supports the implementation of departmental strategies,



policies and procedures while acting as the primary operational contact for Southside campuses.

Responsibilities will include:

- Supervise the daily cleaning operations across allocated Southside/ Central campuses.
- Ensure cleaning services consistently meet departmental standards.
- Conduct regular campus inspections and quality assurance audits.
- Identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.
- Escalate significant operational matters to the Head of Cleaning.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Cleaning Department
- Complete operational reports and inspection records.
- Maintain staff and quality documentation.
- Assist with timesheet verification.
- Record performance concerns for discussion with the Head of Cleaning.
- Maintain accurate operational records.

To be considered for this position you will be required to demonstrate:

- Experience supervising cleaning or environmental services teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate staff across multiple campuses.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards, infection control, and safe work practices.
- Strong organisational, planning, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting organisational objectives.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to provide operational cleaning relief when required
- Be physical fit and do repetitive lifting, pulling, bending, pushing and walking

Qualifications and Other Requirements

- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Capacity to travel between College campuses.
- Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) (desirable)
- Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety legislation.
