About The Role You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The Clinical Nurse

Educator provides support and clinical development/ training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The role formulates, coordinates, and evaluates unit based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures. The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build: The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidenced based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.

A patient and family focused culture that supports the NUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.

The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery. For more information,



please view the Position Description Ideal Candidate Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and relevant post registration experience in the specialty.

Holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.

Understanding and experience in various teaching methodologies including the ability to plan, conduct and evaluate unit based education.

Well-developed leadership, communication skills and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability liaise in a multidisciplinary environment

Ability to work professionally in a team and be self-directed with time management and prioritising skills.
