Join the Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services (DACS) Consultation Liaison Team based at Maitland Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2. In this rewarding role, you'll provide specialist nursing expertise, clinical leadership and care coordination across acute hospital settings, supporting people experiencing drug and alcohol-related issues. Working with multidisciplinary teams across the Hunter New England network, you'll play a key role in improving patient outcomes, with a particular focus on young people presenting to emergency and inpatient services.

About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you'll provide specialist drug and alcohol care, clinical leadership and care coordination across acute and community settings.

In this role, you will:

- Provide assessment, care planning, case management and withdrawal support.
- Deliver specialist advice to emergency departments, inpatient units and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support patients, families and carers through education and advocacy.
- Build strong partnerships to deliver coordinated care.
- Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.

Essential Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant post-registration qualifications in the specialty area and a minimum of three years' post-registration experience within the clinical specialty.
- A current NSW Driver Licence (or eligibility to drive in NSW) and willingness to travel for work purposes.
