Term of appointment: Part-time, Fixed term for 1 Year** Available Position Locations: Teaching Focused positions will be based across the following sites:

- 0.2 FTE available at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (Southport)
- Up to 0.4 FTE available at Tweed Valley Hospital
- Up to 0.5 FTE available at the following Uniting Care Sites: The Wesley Hospital (Brisbane)/ St Andrews War Memorial Hospital (Brisbane)/Buderim Private Hospital (Sunshine Coast)

About The Position The Clinical Placement Coach (CPC) is a registered medical practitioner with a key role in supporting medical students during their clinical placements across a range of public and private healthcare settings. Working closely with Co-Lead Doctor of Medicine, CPC Academic Lead, medical students, Clinical Sub-Deans, clinical leads, site leads, and clinical teams at designated placement sites. CPC’s provide near-peer clinical coaching, bedside teaching, feedback and academic support to help students successfully transition into clinical environments and maximise their learning opportunities. Through coaching conversations, skills development and workplace-based assessment support,



you will help students identify learning needs, build confidence, achieve placement goals and develop the professional and clinical capabilities required for future medical practice. The clinical placement coach program complements existing clinical supervision arrangements and contributes to an exceptional student experience across Bond University's Doctor of Medicine program.

The CPC will have, or be expected to obtain, clinical tutor rights at the hospital, or hospitals where students undertake clinical placements. They are supernumerary to the clinical teams at these sites and do not undertake clinical duties whilst fulfilling their CPC role.

Requirements About the Person We Are Looking For Candidates With The Following

- Current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner in Australia and must have or be able to obtain clinical tutor privileges within the relevant health service.
- Ideally, CPC’s will be doctors PGY3+ who are currently, or have recently worked within the relevant clinical placement setting.
- Candidates will have a good working knowledge of the local placement site(s) and be able to utilise their networks and social capital to enhance student learning opportunities.

Summary Salary details – Full-Time Equivalent (1FTE)

- Assistant Professor Level A remuneration commences at $165,010.96 plus 12% superannuation.
- Assistant Professor Level B remuneration commences at $138,836.18 plus 12% superannuation.
- This position will be eligible for clinical loading at $34,611.12 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
