Microsoft Azure Technical Architect – Integration & Portals
12-month contract | Remote within Australia
Our client, a leading consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Technical Architect to lead the architecture and design of enterprise integration and portal solutions.
This role will suit a hands-on architect with strong Azure integration expertise and experience designing Microsoft-based customer, supplier or operational portals. Previous experience within supply chain, logistics, transport, warehousing or similarly complex operational environments would be highly regarded.
Key responsibilities
- Define end-to-end architecture for Azure integration and Microsoft portal solutions.
- Design secure and scalable integrations across enterprise, cloud and third-party platforms.
- Architect customer, supplier or operational portals using Microsoft technologies.
- Produce solution designs, architecture diagrams, integration patterns and technical roadmaps.
- Define API, event-driven and messaging architectures.
- Establish security, identity, data, monitoring and governance standards.
- Lead technical workshops and translate business requirements into practical solutions.
- Provide technical direction to development, integration and delivery teams.
- Review solution designs and ensure alignment with Azure best practices.
- Work closely with client stakeholders, vendors and consulting teams throughout delivery.
Required experience
- Strong experience as an Azure Solution Architect, Technical Architect or Integration Architect.
- Deep knowledge of Azure integration services, including:
- Azure API Management
- Azure Functions
- Logic Apps
- Service Bus
- Event Grid and/or Event Hubs
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Azure Monitor and Application Insights
- Experience architecting Microsoft-based web portals, customer portals or supplier portals.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture and system integration.
- Experience with security, authentication, authorisation and identity-management patterns.
- Ability to create high-level and detailed solution architecture documentation.
- Strong consulting, stakeholder-management and workshop-facilitation skills.
- Experience guiding engineering teams through implementation.
