In this role, you’ll be a key player in keeping our customer interactions and orders running smoothly. You’ll work hands‑on with the team, helping customers, keeping the office organised, and making sure the delivery team have all the information they need to ensure orders go out accurately and on time. This is a role for someone who has strong computer skills and enjoys customer interactions. You’ll have the capability to get outside the office when needed to help the team in the yard with basic order packing.
We are offering this role on a casual basis, with approximately four days of work per week. This provides a great opportunity for someone seeking regular, meaningful work while maintaining flexibility.
What you will be doing
- Speak with customers in person, via phone and email
- Ensure order information is accurately entered into the accounting system (MYOB)
- Work with customers giving product suggestions for their projects and promote sales items where appropriate
- Maintain the office ensuring a tidy presentation with relevant promotional materials displayed and up to date
What you’ll have to succeed in this role:
- An understanding of general finance and administration processes (eg accurate data entry)
- Excellent customer service skills and the confidence to ask questions
- Experiencein a trade based role or similar industry (preferred)
- A willingness to learn new things and a desire to work in a team who genuinely supports each other
