About the role:
The Supply Chain Lead supports the planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain activities to ensure product availability and inventory accuracy across the business. Working closely with the Manager – Material Requirements Planning, Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs), Warehouse, Customer Service, and Quality teams, the role assists in production planning, inventory management, and supply chain administration.
This position is ideal for an individual looking to further develop their supply chain and inventory management career within a growing pharmaceutical and animal health business.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Support the maintenance of Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes within Microsoft Dynamics.
- Generate purchase orders in accordance with approved production and inventory plans.
- Assist in coordinating production schedules with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) to ensure timely supply of finished goods
- Monitor inventory levels and report potential stock shortages or supply risks to the Manager – MRP.
- Create and process transfer documentation for BOM kits and inventory movements.
- Process batch sheets and inventory transactions accurately within Microsoft Dynamics.
- Maintain inventory records and ensure data accuracy across ERP inventory modules.
- Support batch and expiry date traceability requirements and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Liaise with Warehouse, Customer Service, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with reconciliation of materials returned from CMOs.
- Prepare inventory and supply chain reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
- Perform other duties as reasonably directed by management.
Tertiary Qualifications & Industry Accreditations:
Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
2–5 years' experience in supply chain, inventory, production planning, logistics, or a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience desirable).
Experience within pharmaceutical, veterinary, animal health, FMCG, or manufacturing industries.
Exposure to MRP and inventory planning processes.
Understanding of GMP or regulated manufacturing environments.
