We’re looking for a Cloud and Software Architect who’s ready to lead from the front, shaping how we design, build and run modern, AI-first, cloud-native platforms that deliver real impact.

Description

What you’ll be all in on

Located in Melbourne (with travel to Newborough required once per fortnight)

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll translate architecture into real-world systems, ensuring what we design is what we deliver. You’ll work across our engineering ecosystem, solving complex problems and lifting the standard of engineering across the board.

In this role you will:

- Turn architectural vision into build-ready designs and production-quality systems

- Design and evolve cloud-native, event-driven and API-first platforms across Azure

- Lead hands-on development across critical areas including APIs, integrations and AI capabilities

- Champion AI-driven engineering practices, including agentic and spec-driven development

- Uplift engineering quality through strong standards in testing, observability, security and DevSecOps

- Collaborate with engineers, architects and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable systems

- Mentor and guide engineers, helping teams grow capability and confidence

What you’ll bring

- Strong experience in cloud and software engineering,



including leadership of complex system design

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bring both technical and non-technical stakeholders along
- A strong foundation in clean, testable, maintainable code and engineering best practices

- Experience delivering end-to-end solutions from design through to production

- Hands-on expertise across Azure, APIs and up-to-date development practices

- Deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices and distributed systems

What will set you apart

- Experience with AI-enabled software development and working with AI coding tools or agents
- A proactive, “let’s make it better” mindset and a drive to solve complex problems
- A passion for mentoring and uplifting engineering capability across teams

- Exposure to high-scale, cloud-based platforms (ideally multi-tenant SaaS environments)

- Strong DevSecOps mindset, with experience embedding security and reliability into delivery
